Mission & Vision

BERDO was organized on 17th July, 1991 with an aim to uplift the prevailing condition of disabled communities in Bangladesh. Bangladesh is a poor and overpopulated country. It is estimated that roughly 10% of our total population is in one way or other disabled. Their basic rights are often denied in some way or other in this country and they are deprived of even basic services like medical facilities, education and employment. Due to poverty and the ignorance of their ill-fated families they have been becoming dependent on their families and slowly becoming objects of harassment and humiliation. In brief, now they are turning just burden to the society. BERDO was established with the aim of freeing them from the darkness and to prove that they are not a burden to the society and to inspire them to be educated and provide them with medical services and employment opportunities
